Animatronics course – April holidays

The two-day Animatronics course explored the problems scientists and researchers face when observing and investigating the behaviour of animals. As young researchers, participants posed bold questions to investigate, considered the location and animal they were going to observe, and discussed the ethical considerations they needed to respect before starting their own research on location.

A variety of stimuli was explored, big picture thinking discussed and the challenging programming of robotics equipment undertaken along with the consideration of how the equipment could be used in the field. View the clip to see what the Animatronics team of young researchers got up to on location.
